Portinho da Arrábida

Portinho da Arrábida is a picturesque beach located in the Arrábida Natural Park, which is in the Setúbal Peninsula of Portugal. Situated on the southern coast of the Setúbal Peninsula, about 40 kilometers south of Lisbon, and just 7 minutes from Quinta da Arrábida.

The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, with crystal-clear turquoise waters and a backdrop of the lush Arrábida mountains. The beach is famous for its calm, clear waters and white sand. It’s part of the Arrábida Natural Park, which helps preserve the area’s unique ecosystem and limits development. Popular activities include swimming, snorkeling, diving, and boat trips to explore the coastline. There’s a small 17th-century fort nearby called Forte de Santa Maria da Arrábida, which now houses a small oceanographic museum. The area is known for its fresh seafood, and there are a few restaurants in the village serving local specialties. Due to its location within a protected area, access can be limited during peak summer months to preserve the environment.

Portinho da Arrábida is often considered one of Portugal’s hidden gems, offering a tranquil escape with breathtaking natural scenery.
